The DeCastro Sisters and HBO

The DeCastro Sisters, a Latin singing trio that became a Las Vegas staple in the 1950s and had a 1954 hit with ‘Teach Me Tonight,’ also made it to HBO.

Alan Eichler, who was the group’s manager, recalled that the DeCastros were mentioned in an episode of the HBO hit series ‘The Sopranos’ as the favorite singers of Livia, the family matriarch played by the late Nancy Marchand.

Cherie DeCastro, the last surviving member of the DeCastros, died March 14 in Las Vegas.
