D.L. & Co.’s Effigy wax sculptures are more like art works than candles.
The Bust of Dierdre candle was crafted to emulate a neo-classical bust. Melting wax flows through the opening of her eyes, giving the appearance of tears.
Although the 17-inch-high candle would make an elegant and eerie centerpiece for Halloween, it regularly retails for $450 -- a price that will bring tears to your eyes. The gothic accessory, however, is on sale for $250 at Gilt through 9 p.m. Monday. (You have to become a member of the site, but joining is free and instant.) Look for more reductions at the D.L. & Co. Halloween sale beginning Oct. 11.
