A crash on the westbound Highway 60 in Moreno Valley involving a California Highway Patrol officer, an ambulance and a fire truck is expected to keep the freeway closed until about 1 p.m.
Emergency crews had responded to an earlier accident when a car hit the back of the ambulance, which caused a fire truck to be hit. A CHP officer also sustained unknown injuries, reported the Riverside Press Enterprise.
The crash, near Perris Boulevard, occurred at about 8 a.m., according to the CHP. The eastbound lanes are all open. The westbound lanes are closed near Perris Boulevard.
