Motorcyclist killed on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys

A motorcyclist was killed Monday after a collision with at least one vehicle on the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The victim, described as an adult male, was southbound about 8:05 a.m. when he crashed near Sherman Way, Officer Ed Jacobs said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unclear if he collided with more than one vehicle.
A SigAlert was issued and three lanes were closed as authorities investigated.
