Dodgers spring training: Rafael Furcal proves he’s back

PHOENIX -- Rafael Furcal addressed the media this morning before the team’s first full squad meeting.

He said that his surgically repaired back isn’t giving him any problems and that he feels stronger than he did last spring. He acknowledged that he became more introverted when he was hurt last season, saying he didn’t want to say anything to his teammates out of fear of what they might say in response.

Well, Furcal went back to being his usual self, playfully ordering reporters out of the Dodgers’ clubhouse with his trademark scream of ‘Media! Out!’

As the reporters filed out of the clubhouse, team President Jamie McCourt, the wife of owner Frank McCourt, made her way in, trailed by two television cameras.
