Portland outhustled Lakers

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Finally, Portland Coach Nate McMillan was asked why his Trail Blazers have had so much success against the Lakers at the Rose Garden.

The Trail Blazers have defeated the Lakers here six consecutive games heading into Monday night’s game.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said it’s because of the rain that depresses his team.

McMillan said his team has played hard and won the ‘hustle game.’

McMillan said his team has been able to make plays and to make them at the right time against the Lakers.
