Baseball: Golden Valley routs Grant

Nick Rhoades pitched a complete game four-hitter to lead Golden Valley to a 10-1 victory over Grant in the first round of the Santa Ynez Tournament on Monday. Rhoades struck out nine.

Brandon Kaufman went three for four with four runs batted in for the Grizzlies, who piled up 14 hits. Chris Smith went three for three and stole four bases.

Golden Valley plays Hawthorne today in another tournament game.
