Los Angeles Cathedral had success the last time it used a double wing offensive formation against Gardena Serra, so the Phantoms tried it again Friday night. The Cavaliers still came away with a 21-7 victory.
‘I wanted to keep those guys off the field,’ Coach Kevin Pearson said.
Cathedral got worn down using lots of two-way players.
Serra finishes 10-0. Cathedral is 9-1. Both are going to have difficulty trying to win a Southern Section Northwest Division that will feature top-seeded Westlake Village Oaks Christian (10-0) and running back Malcolm Jones.
