Football: Hueneme holds on to beat Hart, 23-15

Hart made it interesting when junior linebacker Hayden Scott recovered a fumble at Hart’s 26-yard line with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter, but the Indians were unable to pick up a first down and visiting Hueneme ran out the clock for a 23-15 Northern Division first-round victory at College of the Canyons.

Hart (7-4) suffered its second straight first-round playoff loss.

Hueneme (8-3) will host third-seeded Westlake (11-0) in the quarterfinals next week.
