Here was the challenge for unbeaten West Hills Chaminade. Down, 26-22, to St. Francis, the Eagles got the ball back on their own one-yard line with less than four minutes left. They drove to the five-yard line, and Terrell Newby scored a touchdown on a five-yard run with 55 seconds left for a 29-26 victory, improving Chaminade to 7-0.
Correction: Chaminade started its final drive on its own 27, not the one-yard line.
