Upland will have a solid starting quarterback whenever Coach Tim Salter makes a decision between two juniors to be.
Tyler Hilinski, a transfer from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, has made an immediate impression.
‘He looks pretty good,’ Salter said. ‘He’ll be a Division I kid. He’s legit.’
But Hilinksi will have to beat out Nate Romine’s backup last season, Zac Sturdivant, who’s tough and athletic.
‘We’re a long ways from announcing a starter,’ Salter said.
Upland will start participating in passing competitions in May.
