Orange : 2 Parked Cars Heavily Damaged by Bombs
- Share via
Two cars parked in the 2300 block of East Monroe Street were heavily damaged by bombs Saturday, police said.
The explosive devices, each placed on a parked vehicle, went off at 4:17 a.m. on the residential street east of the Costa Mesa Freeway, police spokesman Joe Consoli said. The cars sustained “considerable damage,” and one resident said the explosions woke neighbors up and down the block, Consoli said.
Orange police said the incident is being investigated by the city’s police intelligence unit and the Orange County Sheriff Department’s bomb detail.
