London Gardens

For the visitor to London who would like to do something different, I highly recommend a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens--Kew. There are 300 acres with 4,500 species of trees and shrubs and hundreds of varieties of birds. You can find places to buy snacks or a meal, and there are information kiosks to guide your walks. Kew is only about 30 minutes from London by bus, train or Underground. You will find, too, galleries and museums and remains of Kew Palace, residence of King George III. The gardens are at Kew, Richmond.
