As part of the Dec. 24 sale of Group W Cable Inc. to five cable companies, the operation and management of Group W Cable in Santa Ana will be assumed by Comcast Corp. sometime in mid-1986, said Thomas Murray, general manager of the Santa Ana system.
Pending approval from regulatory authorities, which is expected in the next six months, Comcast and the four other cable companies will assume ownership of about 115 Group W cable systems nationwide from Group W’s parent, Westinghouse Electric Corp.
