Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were charged with extortion, grand theft and use and possession of cocaine for sale. Wayne Desire and Scott Graham, both 27 and residents of the San Fernando Valley, were arrested at the sheriff’s West Hollywood station, where they were assigned, Deputy Lynda Edmonds said. A department investigation against the two began last December after a citizen alleged that some deputies assigned to the West Hollywood station were involved in illegal drug sales, Edmonds said. Both officers were booked at the Los Angeles County Central Jail and were freed on $5,000 bail each. Edmonds said both deputies have been suspended without pay.
