U.S. Fighter Crashes

RAMSTEIN, West Germany — A U.S. Air Force pilot was hospitalized for observation Thursday after ejecting from his F-5E jet fighter before it crashed in a wooded area. The Air Force said that Capt. Yale J. deLong, 33, of Kutztown, Pa., was in good condition after suffering a broken finger and minor cuts.
