Sunset League : Meyers Leads Marina Past Edison, 63-54

Mike Meyers scored 24 points and had 9 rebounds Friday night to lead Marina High School to a 63-54 Sunset League victory over Edison Friday night.

Mark Georgeson added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the Vikings, who improved to 2-3 and 12-9 overall.

Ken Ammann led all scorers with 29 points for the Chargers (2-3, 12-7).

Fountain Valley 65, Huntington Beach 28--The Oilers managed to score in double figures in only one quarter and were routed by the Barons at Fountain Valley.

Fountain Valley improved to 3-2. Huntington Beach is 1-4.

Todd Hanson and Rob Briggs each scored 12 points to lead the Barons. Steve Pemper scored 10 for Huntington Beach.

Ocean View 77, Westminster 48--Blaine DeBrouwer scored 19 points and Dezi Hazely added 16 points as the Seahawks breezed past the Lions at Ocean View. Tony Panzica had 12 points for Ocean View (5-0, 15-4), and Ricky Butler added 11 rebounds and had 12 blocked shots. Tom Dever led Westminster (2-3, 5-13) with 10 points.
