McDonald’s Corp. said its fourth-quarter profit increased 13% over the same period a year ago on a 14% increase in revenue. For the year, the fast-food conglomerate said its net income rose 11%, while revenue increased 10%. The company’s improved performance was not the result of any particular product or marketing strategy but rather “a healthy growth trend in the restaurant business,” spokesman Chuck Ebeling said.
