‘My God, No!’ Shocked First Lady Exclaimed

WASHINGTON — First Lady Nancy Reagan, watching Tuesday’s launching of the space shuttle on television at the White House, exclaimed, “Oh, my God, no!” when the Challenger exploded across the screen.
Mrs. Reagan was alone in the private quarters of the executive mansion when she viewed the tragedy, Press Secretary Elaine Crispen said.
