Orange County College Tennis : Unbeaten Chapman Tops Riverside

Troy Turnbull, No. 1 singles player for the Chapman College men’s tennis team, defeated Otis Allmon, 7-6, 6-4, Tuesday to help the Panthers defeat UC Riverside, 7-2, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Riverside.
Chapman’s No. 2 singles player, Olivier Amerlinck, defeated Riverside’s Jason Strother, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, as the Panthers, defending Division II national champions, improved their record to 3-0.
In women’s tennis action:
USC 7, UC Irvine 2--The Trojans, top-ranked team in the nation, defeated the Anteaters at USC. Irvine’s Uma Rao and Dina Trenwith each won singles matches, as the Anteaters fell to 4-5.
