Irvine-based Fluor Corp. said Wednesday that one of its units, Daniel International Corp., has received a contract from Union Carbide Corp. to provide construction services for “miscellaneous projects” at the Union Carbide petrochemical complex in Taft, La. The project will last through 1988 and employ a peak work force of 500 persons. Value of the contract was not disclosed. Daniel is an engineering, construction and maintenance company based in Greenville, S.C.
