Business Exchange to Acquire Phone Firm

Business Exchange, a North Hollywood business-to-business bartering company, has signed a letter of intent to acquire American Digitron, a fledgling long-distance telephone service based in Irvine. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The bartering firm will offer the telephone service--to be known as BX Telco--to its members in exchange for combinations of cash, goods and services, said Marvin J. McConnell, president and chairman of Business Exchange.
Nine-month-old American Digitron has fewer than 100 subscribers, McConnell said. The company has 15 employees.
