Sara Lee Corp.’s president and chief operating officer, Robert E. Elberson, will assume the newly created post of vice chairman on July 1. Elberson, 57, will be responsible for international operations.
John B. McKinnon, 51, executive vice president-domestic operations, will replace Elberson as president. McKinnon will continue to oversee all divisions headquartered in the United States. No executive will assume the title of chief operating officer at this time.
John H. Bryan Jr., 49, remains chairman and chief executive.
Chicago-based Sara Lee until last year was known as Consolidated Foods Corp. Its products include baked goods, hosiery and brushes.
