OAKLAND — Kathy Jordan upset third-seeded Hana Mandlikova, 7-6, 6-2, Wednesday night to move into the quarterfinals of the $150,000 Virginia Slims of California tennis tournament.
Earlier, top-seeded Martina Navratilova beat Rosalyn Fairbank, 6-2, 6-1.
