USIU Women Lead Golf Tournament

The United States International University women’s golf team shot a 303 Friday to take an eight-stroke lead over San Jose State and UCLA in the first-round of the San Jose State/Patty Sheehan tournament.
Lorette Maritz shot a 75 for USIU, and Linda Olivier, Claudia Penuela and Tamara Rehurek each shot 76s.
San Diego State was 11th in the 12-team field with a 327.
