CCAA Basketball : Cal Poly Pomona Women Win

The Cal Poly Pomona women’s basketball team, ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Division II final poll, defeated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 83-61, Friday in the semifinals of the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. post-season tournament at San Luis Obispo.
In today’s final, Cal Poly Pomona (25-3) will meet Cal State Northridge (19-7), a 58-57 winner over Chapman Friday afternoon.
In men’s action, UC Riverside beat Cal State Bakersfield, 90-83, to advance to the championship game against regular-season champion Cal Poly SLO, which defeated CS Los Angeles, 86-78, in the other semifinal.
