An Auspicious Start for Angels’ Mike Port
- Share via
It’s encouraging to see that Mike Port has the unqualified endorsement of his predecessor, Buzzie Bavasi.
Let me make sure I’ve got this right. I mean the guy who got rid of Nolan Ryan, Don Baylor, Carney Lansford and Tom Brunansky likes the guy who got rid of Mike Brown, Juan Beniquez, Bob Kipper and Pat Clements (the latter two pitchers of great promise).
An auspicious start, to be sure. Mr. Autry better be planning on waiting another 25 years for that first American League pennant.
