An officer writing a traffic ticket was injured when the patrol car in which he was sitting was rear-ended, Beverly Hills police said. Officer Phil Quinones’ car was parked at the curb on La Cienega Boulevard, near Olympic Boulevard, about 2:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. The impact of the collision shoved the patrol car into the rear of the car whose driver was waiting to receive the traffic ticket. Kim Wasson, 25, of Santa Monica was arrested at the scene and booked for felony drunk driving, police said. Quinones was treated for neck and back pain at a local hospital and released.
