Catcher John Eccles hit his second grand slam of the season Monday as Cal State Fullerton breezed to an 8-2 victory over Nevada-Reno in the first round of the Best in the West tournament at Fresno.

Cerritos 18, Golden West 4--Dave Lozano hit a grand slam in the fifth inning and Greg Mannion added a home run in the sixth for the Chargers in a South Coast Conference game at Cerritos.
