Pitcher LaMarr Hoyt will rejoin the San Diego Padres on Thursday, a month after checking into a clinic for evaluation of a possible substance abuse problem.
There has been no announcement on the right-hander’s condition, but Manager Steve Boros said Hoyt could be in the Padres’ starting rotation two weeks after the regular season begins.
