Redondo Beach : Kiosk Won’t Go to Dogs
The City Council on Tuesday denied a request to lease a kiosk on Catalina Avenue in Riviera Village for use as a hot dog stand.
As a result of the request, the council also unanimously established a policy that the kiosk, located on property owned by the city, be used only for non-commercial purposes.
The request had been submitted by Jerome Weiner, a partner in the company Dog Day Afternoon, who said he would be looking in the area for another suitable site for the stand.
