The acquisition of MBI Business Centers is San Jose-based Businessland’s second in a month. On April 1, it said it was buying the 36 stores of Americsource. The two acquisitions more than double its existing chain of 69 company-owned stores. In the MBI deal, Businessland is exchanging 1.5 shares of its common stock for each of the about 5 million MBI shares in a deal valued at about $75 million.
