A 10-screen movie theater is being planned by United Artists Communications for North Hollywood.
The $5-million theater, which will be in The Academy project at Lankershim and Magnolia boulevards, is expected to open by the end of this year or early next year, said Gary Mahler, United’s vice president and corporate counsel. United, a San Francisco-based firm that is not related to United Artists movie studio, is one of the nation’s two largest theater chains.
