Trouble on Home Front

I resent the last paragraph of Jean Vallely’s review: “If Patti Davis were not the daughter of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, this would-be poet, would-be songwriter, would-be singer, would-be actress, would-be novelist would be--would most certainly be--waiting tables.” What is wrong with waiting on tables? I have a son who is a waiter, has worked at the most exclusive restaurants in Los Angeles and now in Tokyo. He even has brains! I wonder what other waiters would think about this comment.
