Planning Unit Installs New Chief Executive

Rancho Cucamonga City Councilman Jon Mikels has been elected 1986-87 president of the Southern California Assn. of Governments, succeeding Riverside County Supervisor Kay Ceniceros.
Other new officers installed at the Ontario Airport Hilton were Imperial County Supervisor Louis Curiel, first vice president, and Don Griffin, Buena Park mayor pro tem, second vice president.
Six new members--including three alternates-- were seated on the organization’s 21-member executive committee: Jacki Bacharach, Rancho Palos Verdes councilwoman; Patricia Herron, Hemet councilwoman; Dorothy Wedel, La Habra councilwoman; Russ Burns, Ventura councilwoman, alternate; Tim Johnson, Redlands vice mayor, alternate, and Robert Wagner, Lakewood councilman, alternate.
The association is a regional planning and coordinating organization made up of local government officials from Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
