A motorist was hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday as police sought another motorist who shot him after a minor traffic accident.
Boaz Quintin Ealenti, 20, suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen Monday night, shortly after his car was rear-ended by another vehicle near Wilson Circle and Pierce Drive, Police Officer Terry Branum said.
Ealenti and the other driver left their cars and began arguing, and the other driver pulled out a pistol and shot Ealenti, Branum said.
Ealenti stumbled onto a lawn and the gunman drove away in his car, described as a light brown Honda Civic with front-end damage, Branum added.
The suspect was described by witnesses as being in his early 20s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.
Ealenti, of Buena Park, was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was reported unconscious Tuesday and listed in critical but stable condition.
