Frank O’Sullivan; Mayor Yorty Aide

Frank P. O’Sullivan, one-time administrative assistant to Los Angeles Mayor Sam Yorty and an unsuccessful Democratic candidate for Congress in 1954, died Wednesday at age 61. His family said he died of acute respiratory failure.
O’Sullivan, who lived in Hacienda Heights, worked in the Yorty Administration from 1961 to 1967, and most recently had been executive director of the West San Gabriel Valley Consortium, a federal job training program.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, two daughters and a son.
