Mrs. M. Pressman (Viewers’ Views, March 30) is so typical! In her letter she states that the public broadcasting stations’ pledge drives turn her off, so she stops watching and “gorges” herself on “junk TV.” I’ll bet she gobbles up the excellent programs on KCET and KUSC the rest of the time, but where’s her support, and I mean financial, when the stations need it? If everyone who watches, listens and enjoys the programs on public broadcasting would simply put their money where their mouths are, the pledge drives wouldn’t be necessary.
