Who is this Ernest Conine? What qualifies him to report on the financial status of senior citizens?
Did Conine enjoy 12 years of forced retirement, in his 70s, while he watched the price of everything go UP . . . UP . . . UP?
Of course, Conine is right, inflation is way down. Does he pay rent? Has he bought shoes or clothing lately? Who pays his insurance premiums? Does he get his car serviced for free? Who shops for his groceries? The markets seem to know nothing about inflation.
