A man who authorities say was the supplier of a cocaine ring that sold millions of dollars’ worth of the drug to welfare recipients in Richmond was sentenced in San Francisco federal court to 14 years in federal prison. Daniel Weisberg, 26, of Kensington, pleaded guilty to charges of possessing and distributing 2.2 pounds of cocaine and conspiracy. Prosecutors said the ring timed its drug sales to the issuance of welfare checks. Other ring members have also pleaded guilty and await sentencing.
