Deadly Storm Hits Cuba

HAVANA — One person died and another is missing as a result of five days of heavy rain in eastern Cuba, the Communist Party newspaper Granma reported Wednesday. Torrential downpours have caused floods and landslides that have blocked roads and cut electricity and telephone services in many areas.
