New York’s Rep. Weiss Elected ADA President

WASHINGTON — Rep. Ted Weiss (D-N.Y.) was elected Saturday as president of Americans for Democratic Action, and he immediately charged the Reagan Administration with “systematic distortion and deception.”
Weiss, 58, will serve a two-year term as leader of the country’s largest national multi-issue liberal organization.
