Medical Care in Canada, United States

Since I am Canadian-born, I am surprised to note that the article does not state that the Canadian worker pays highly for this service.
The article states that the Canadian government spends 8.6% of its gross national product this year alone ($39 billion) on medical and hospital care. But no mention is made that the large share is covered by the Canadian worker. This protection is not free. It is only free to the poor.
