Everything Promised

It was a breath of springtime after a week in Paris, and the Dordogne Valley was everything promised in the articles by Gloria Lopez and Paul Dean on March 31, 1985. Two weeks this May at Castang, the farm-cum-inn under the rigid control of the still very British Madame Gorse, left little to be desired in either food or accommodations. Everything including continental breakfast and dinner was covered for about $30 per person per day, far less than our Paris hotel.
Castang is centrally located in the valley and is highly recommended for a low-key, restful visit. Contact Daphne Gorse at Castang, Le Coux et Bigaroque, 24220 Saint-Cyprien, France, for reservations.
