‘Stronger Measures’ Urged

LONDON — The Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert A.K. Runcie, said Monday he supports “stronger measures” to force South Africa’s white-led minority government to end apartheid. The archbishop commented after launching a day of prayer and fasting in London to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Soweto riots.
