Police Arrest 2 Men: Police, with an assist from four bystanders, arrested two men on auto burglary charges Thursday after a high-speed chase. Martin Campuzano Castro, 21, and Ruben Contreras, 19, both of Santa Ana, were caught after their car stalled near Culver Drive and the Santa Ana Freeway, police said. The two were pursued after police responded to a call about a car burglary in progress at an apartment complex near Kazan and Walnut avenues shorty after midnight. Police said Contreras was charged with auto burglary, hit-and-run, drunk driving and evading arrest, while Castro was charged with car burglary and resisting arrest. Police reported finding a car stereo in the suspects’ vehicle. Both men were being held in County Jail on $10,000 bail.
