Memorial Service Scheduled for Grace Vanderpool

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. today for Grace Louise Vanderpool, a teacher for the past 24 years in the Garden Grove Unified School District.
The memorial rites will be conducted in the outdoor amphitheater at the rear of the main Huntington Beach Library at Golden West and Talbert avenues. Friends will be at the parking lot of the library to help direct those attending.
Mrs. Vanderpool, 60, was fatally injured Tuesday night in an automobile collision in Long Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; a daughter, Eva Vanderpool; a son, Mark Vanderpool, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be private, the family said.
