Duarte : Safety Meeting Scheduled

The city’s 115 Neighborhood Watch block captains will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Community Center, 1600 Huntington Drive, to discuss public safety and plan for a “National Night Out” to be held Aug. 12. Duarte Public Safety Coordinator Don Anderson, who acts as liaison with the Sheriff’s Department, said that Neighborhood Watch groups will gather outside for a block party between 8 and 9 p.m. Aug. 12 to be visible as a crime deterrent.
