Pacific Telesis Group announced a series of executive changes affecting the telecommunications holding company and its major subsidiary, Pacific Bell.
C. Lee Cox, currently executive vice president of Pacific Bell operations, has been named executive vice president in charge of the company’s marketing organization. He succeeds John D. Lockton, who resigned to join a venture capital firm.
Replacing Cox is Martin A. Kaplan, currently vice president-corporate strategy and development for Pacific Telesis.
Kaplan will be succeeded by William E. Downing, now vice president and treasurer of Pacific Telesis. He will be replaced by Roger D. Linquist, former president and chief executive of Communications Industries Inc., which was recently acquired by Pacific Telesis.
