The entry of Creme Fraiche and Danzig Connection, the Woody Stephens-trained winners of the 1985 and 1986 Belmont Stakes, is expected to be favored in today’s 100th running of the $334,000 Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park.
Creme Fraiche, which will carry 121 pounds, will race from the No. 1 post position. Danzig Connection, carrying 116 pounds, breaks from the outside slot in a field of six.
